A fabulous remake of the original.
Zima by StillWater--
A wonderfully themed skin with lots of great photo-artwork, in Stillwater's inimatable style.

ICONS

Christmas Icons by kakkr
We did feature kakkr in the last edition of Skin Deep, but his Christmas Icons are too amazing to not feature. He has quite a unique style when it comes to icons, so be sure to get this set.
Christmas Mini Pack by arrioch
This is a fun Christmas icon set. Enjoy these while you can, the holidays are almost over! Also be sure to check out his matching Macromedia Snowballs icon set.
Folder Icons Pack by deleket
You can't get folders for your system that are much smoother than these. deleket has some smooth skills when it comes to icon design, and this set is right on par with the rest of his high quality work.
F.I.P by Delacrov
I don't think I've seen an blue and gray icon set this smooth for a long time. Take these icons for a test run and see for yourself how beautifully crafted they are. Don't forget to also grab the addon set for these, F.I.P +.
iPod 06 by Jaziel
Most iPod icons are pretty generic, but Jaziel went out of his way to make this smooth set of three iPod icons. I'm definitely switching my iPod icons over to these now.
Thanks for checking out this edition of Skin Deep! We hope you enjoyed it. We would love some feedback, and also suggestions on how to improve this series. If you would like to recommend any deviation from the Skins & Themes or Icons galleries, please note either abhimanyughoshal or ipholio. Happy Holidays!

Becoming a photographer
Wow, it's been nearly two years since I last updated my journal. I haven't been on DA much since then but I'd love to use all the features it makes available to promote my work more. You see, I've quit a few jobs, learned some stuff and now fancy myself a photographer. I specialize in performing arts, travel, street and documentary work. I've been shooting for NH7, Rolling Stone and Conde Nast Traveller. I've been known to bamboozle about in a studio in the past, and even shot some food for an upcoming restaurant, but that's besides the point.
So what's all the noise about? Well, I'm going to try and showcase my photography here and also mak
Tales from Shivaji Road
New photos!
Hey everyone, I'm happy to report that I've been actively taking pictures recently. My latest collection is again set in one of my favourite Bangalore neighbourhoods, Shivajinagar. It's a predominantly Muslim area, with mosques, restaurants and streets lined with houses big and small. It's also home to the amazing Russell Market, a melting pot of meats, vegetables and seafood from all over the South. There's even a 100-year old gym and movie theatre. Here are some photos from the set:

yay devMEET!
The meet that was
We had a fun little devMEET this morning, just five of us crazies. It was a blast though! ajayverghese (https://www.deviantart.com/ajayverghese) and I were the first to arrive on the scene at NGMA, and soon enough were joined by grisloup (https://www.deviantart.com/grisloup), Xandox (https://www.deviantart.com/xandox) and Madsterinc (https://www.deviantart.com/madsterinc).
Agenda
After a quick introduction, we headed into the gallery to check two wonderful exhibits - Signposts of the Times featuring works by various Indian artists, sculptors and photographers, and TV Viewers, a photo exhibit by Olivier Culmann. We then headed to the cafe for some extra-sweet chai and to discuss what we just saw, and had a little show and tell too, describing our choicest

This event is open to anyone who's interested in art - you needn't be a member of the Bangaloreans group on Deviantart, or even a Deviantart member. Bring your friends, even if they're philistines - the more the merrier!
Agenda
We'll meet at Bangalore's National Gallery of Modern Art, where they have two wonderful exhibits: Signposts of the Times
